coach questions hire

Before you decide to start a life changing transformation there are certain goals you have to set and certain questions you will need to ask yourself. These questions are very important and will dictate the future course of your own development, both the physical and psychological aspect of it. Knowing how to ask yourself the right questions can be very tricky, which is why this article is dedicated to helping you understand the importance of those questions.

1. Are you willing to make sacrifices?

The most important thing when going through a life changing process is sacrificing something in return. Most of the time, people are not aware that these sacrifices can be the smallest thing, such as giving up on video games, to the biggest and more complicated things, such as quiting smoking.

Understanding the importance of the sacrifices that you will be making will help you understand the situation you are in. And trust me when I say that making any kind of sacrifice is not an easy thing to do, especially when having to give up something you love, like the video games I’ve mentioned, but bear in mind that the sacrifice you are making will only lead to making you more productive, focused and driven.

2. What are your expectations?

Before you start doing any kind of transformation, you need to set your expectations. Most of the time, people are fired up by the feeling of success and the thought of achieving the final goal, but getting there is harder than it looks like. You are required to set realistic expectations, which can be achieved in a normal period of time. Do not get caught up in the excitement of it or get carried away by the prize. Be honest with yourself, about where you are and about what you can do.

Becoming transparent is the next thing, so make sure you are ready for it. Don’t think you’ll be able to climb mountains after a month – even if you start out stellar (and you probably will), there will come a time when you ease into a routine and the going gets tougher. That is the point when you need to remind yourself of the end goal.

3. Is commitment an issue?

Success is a process that takes time and hard work. Once you hire a life coach or a personal trainer, all that they want to hear from you is that you agree to fully commit to their program, to obey all the rules they set and to give it your all. Once you make a commitment, there is no going back without disappointing both yourself and the person who has spent a lot of time trying to help you.

Plan everything ahead, and see if you can commit to it without taking any severe consequences. And when you start working on it, do not doubt anything before you try doing it, no matter what you think or how you feel about it. You may be asked to step out of your comfort zone, but that is precisely what you need to do in order to achieve you goals.

4. What are you looking for?

It is crucial to know your wishes and desires in order to be able to fulfil them. If you want to lose extra weight, or want to shape your body and muscles, or simply want to change your lifestyle, you have to be certain of it. Before hiring a proper coach, you need to understand your needs. There are many coaching skills out there, and knowing which one you are looking for can save you a lot of time and money.

5. Can you give it your all?

The most important question is your determination. Will you be able to give it your all, depends solely on your willpower and your mindset. That is why you need to have proper motivation, and gain the mindset of a champion. Once you start doing it, no matter how big the obstacle, find a way around it and keep moving on. Failure is not an option.

No one said that it would be easy, especially if this is your first major transformation. Take the first steps with great courage; take a leap of faith and the opportunities will become endless. There is no easy way out, so prepare for some major sweating and bleeding. At the end of it, you will become a new person, both healthier and stronger. Do not give up!
